More explanation about mass movement and slope stability

This video explains more on the variety of processes exist by which materials can be moved down a slope. these processes are known as mass movement or mass wasting.   Link 2: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=video&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjX6Juiz7L6AhVREsAKHXlrDswQtwJ6BAgJEAI&url=https%3A%2F%2Fopengeology.org%2Ftextbook%2F10-mass-wasting%2F&usg=AOvVaw1lskiA09_M5q-yhsB9ek95

Mass movement and Slope Stability

Image
Mass wasting occurs when a slope fails :  A slope fails when it is too steep and unstable for existing materials and conditions. Slope stability is ultimately determined by two principal factors: the slope angle and the strength of the underlying material. How does mass movement affect slopes?   Steep and unstable slopes are more likely to have a mass movement than gentle and stable slopes . A fall or topple happens when rocks and other sediments fall through the air and land at the bottom of a slope. Flows are a mixture of water, rock and sediment.
